Dad, turn of events
Since Mom passed (February 27, 2012) Dad has been living with Phyllis and my self at our house. Since her passing we have visited the home place several times checking on the house and attending Church. Dad has enjoyed the visits. He has not had a easy time of it here, in and out of the hospital twice, on and off of hospice and home care, now he is on hospice. We did manage to sell the house in Illinois, signing the paper work on Dec 21, that was a blessing. Dad is moving slower all the time, unsure of his steps, afraid he is going to fall. All he wants to do is get his affairs in order (which he has) and go home to be with Jesus and Mom. Dad was doing well, untill this morning when he woke up calling my name at 6:30. He had labored breathing, with raddling, we gave him a neb and raised the head of the bed. He woke up around 10 we dressed him and fixed breakfast. He just sat there stairing at the food, later had chills, with a temp of 100. Hospice was called, the nurse took his temp and it was 102, he has been in bed all day, on comcort meds only. Yesterday he was walking, talking and today is bedfast, what a turn of events.

Mother June 30, 1917 to Feb 27, 2012
Mother passed away after fighting with Liver failure Feb 27, 2012. Dad called me Jan 16 and I went home to help take care of them, staying their and bring Dad home to live with Phyllis and myself March 5, 2012. Dad, Phyllis and I were there at her passing in their home. Let me tell you the rest of the story now. I don't know if you believe in Jesus Christ or not, but here is what happened. Mom had become to weak to take care of herself, hospice was called in, they were a life saver. Several days before her passing she was to weak to take care of herself, she stoped eating and drinking. Her breathing became so shallow that Phyllis and I were felling for a pulse, we could not feel one. She took a shallow breath and although she had been nonverbal for several days ,her eyes were closed, and her lips formed to word (wow) and then another (wow) and she was gone. You see although we could not see them, the angles were dispatch from heaven to escort her home. Thank you Jesus

Christmas 2011
We are blessed, we (Phyllis and I) had a wonderful Christmas. All of our kids with spouses and grand kids were here all at once, including my parents. My Mom and Dad (94 and 93 arrived Saturday, they drove over from Illinois. Saturday night my Mother talked with Sants on the Ham radio. We went to Church on Sunday and came home for dinner. Monday our kids and spouses arrived with all the grand kids, what a blessing.
On Tuesday my grand daughter had her 5th birthday. Olive garden was her choice for lunch and cake and ice cream at their house.
